Flag: national flag represents a tricolor from blue, yellow and red vertical strips. On national flag (here) the yellow strip bears the coat of arms.
SLOGAN: Himn Andorra begins "Ale-Karlemani-moshon" ("Great Charles the Great my father").
MONEY: Andorra has no own currency; euro, accepted both by Spain, and France is used. There are coins of 1, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents and 1 euro and 2 euros. There are notes from 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 euros. €1 = $1.25475 (or $1 = €0.79697) as of 2005.
SCALES AND MEASURES: The metric system and some old local standards is used.
HOLIDAYS: New year, on January 1; National festival, on September 8; Christmas, on December 25. Moveable religious feasts include Good Friday and Easter Monday.
ARRANGEMENT, SIZE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Andorra which doesn't have an outlet to the sea is in southwest Europe on the southern slopes of the Pyrenees mountains between the French departments Ariege and the Pyrenees-east BC and the Spanish provinces Gerona and Lerida, with the general border of 120,3 km (74,6 miles)).
Andorra is about 2,5 times more, than in Washington, the District of Columbia, with a total area of 468 sq.km (180 quarter. Miles), 30,1 km long (18,7 miles) in hour and 25,4 km (15,8 miles) of nanosecond.
The capital of Andorra, Andorra la Vella, is located in a southwest part of the country.
TOPOGRAPHY
Andorra is located in the only drainage pool, but its main stream, Riu Valira, has two excellent branches and six outdoor pools; therefore the term Les Valls was traditionally used as a part of the name of the principality. The section of the river flowing through El-Serrat through Ordino and La-Massanan is Valiroy-del-Nord, and through Kanilyo, Enkamp and Les-Eskaldes - Valira-Oren. The most part of the country is rough and mountain, and on it a little plain surface. All valleys not less than 900 m high (3000 feet), and average height is more than 1800 m (6000 feet). There are high tops from which the highest - Come Pedros (2,946 m / 9,665 feet).
CLIMATE
Because of its high heights, Andorra has severe winters. Northern valleys completely snow within several months. The majority of rainfall drops out in April and October. The humidity is very low. In the summer warm or soft, depending on height. There are significant differences between the maximum daytime and night time temperatures.
